Material Passports - Challenges, Opportunities and Future Directions
The Material Passport Industry Brief Report aims to inform stakeholders in the Irish construction sector of the transformative impact of Material Passports (MPs) as solutions to implement Circular Economy principles in the Built Environment. The report is based on a wider doctoral research programme that aims to identify and address challenges in existing MP frameworks. The gap analysis emphasised that there is an urgent need for real-time updates, standardisation, policy frameworks, data quality control, stakeholder education, and behavioural shift.
